Our CUA family is growing! Let CUA’s Corporate Office family take care of your family.
For the duration of the annual meeting, the CUA will offer a kid-friendly service, with staff trained in babysitting and CPR to provide a safe space to leave your child for a few hours while you attend scientific sessions or social events.
We will welcome children who are between the ages of 2 and 16 years. Children must be potty-trained. Members with young children (under two years old) who are not yet potty-trained can contact the following services:
Reservation fee of $25 per block / per child (non-refundable) must be paid in advance of drop off. This helps us determine staff requirements. Staff-to-child ratio is 1 staff per 4 kids (maximum).
Children will be dropped off on Level 4 of the hotel (convention level), steps away from the plenary and exhibit hall. They will be under the supervision of our teenagers (staff of the CUA Corporate Team aged 16 and older) who are certified with a Quebec license for babysitting and CPR.
These are our daughters (Emma, Olivia, and Eve) taking care of your children. We understand firsthand how challenging it can be to travel with children, and we want to offer you peace of mind. They will be safe, entertained, and well cared for under close supervision.
There will be arts and crafts, games, and access to TV and electronics (if allowed). Children will not be taken offsite. As for food, only fruit, vegetables, water, and select juices will be offered.
Are you planning to bring the family to Ottawa for the CUA Annual Meeting? We’ve got fantastic ideas to keep the kids entertained!
